At 19:37 on Wednesday, 8 May, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury .

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involved controlled burn which was out of control. Crews extinguished using hose reel jet.
