At 22:12 on Sunday, 19 May, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Telford.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident involved processed waste alight in a pit. Fire extinguished using soil to smother the fire.
