At 15:12 on Monday, 27 May, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Knapsacks
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Quantity of mown grass alight approx 3m x 5m, extinguished using knapsack sprayer and drag rakes
