At 18:26 on Tuesday, 4 June, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Coton Hill, Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Call to car on fire which was found to be a false alarm caused by the vehicle overheating and leaking coolant. Fire crew assisted with cooling down engine.
