At 16:23 on Tuesday, 11 June, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Ellesmere.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

This incident involved one small tree, hedge and undergrowth on fire measuring approximately 2 meters squared. Crews used one hosereel jet to extinguish the fire and checked for safe temperatures using a thermal imaging camera.
