At 08:44 on Tuesday, 2 July, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Whitchurch.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Wellington and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: a vet.

Horse on side in horse walker. One large horse rescued using animal rescue equipment, and left in care of vet.
