At 08:20 on Thursday, 4 July, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as LGV Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports of a lorry on fire, crews attended and found this to be a false alarm due to steam from cab heating system.
