At 12:25 on Saturday, 13 July, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

This incident was a false alarm good intent. Steam from bonnet due to overheating radiator. Full engine inspection was carried out using thermal imaging camera prior to a recovery company being contacted.
