At 14:36 on Saturday, 13 July, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Ellesmere.

1 fire appliance was mobilised. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Report of 3 cows stuck in the canal. Officer attended to investigate and all cows now walked out of canal. No crews required to attend to assist.
