At 18:46 on Wednesday, 17 July, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Whitchurch.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit and the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Baschurch, Wellington and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

One male horse rescued from brook using animal rescue gear.
