At 23:15 on Wednesday, 31 July, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Dry powder extinguisher
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving washing machine and contents, extinguished using 2 breathing apparatus, one dry powder extinguisher, one hose reel jet and thermal image camera
