At 00:26 on Thursday, 1 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire Persons Reported in Oswestry.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

This incident was a false alarm with good intent, thorough search carried out with thermal image camera, nothing found, advice given.
