At 16:32 on Thursday, 1 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Field Of Straw in Telford.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Short extension ladder

Small quantity of stubble and straw alight in field that has been extinguished by Fire Service Personnel.
