At 17:07 on Friday, 2 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shifnal.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Telford Central.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.

One transformer located within conifer trees blown. Tree alight, extinguished by fire service personnel.
