At 19:03 on Thursday, 1 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smell Of Burning in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

This incident involved the smell of burning within the lift of the building due to a burnt out power unit.
