At 19:01 on Sunday, 11 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Ellesmere.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Thermal imaging camera

1 large conifer involved in fire. Crews used a hosereel jet to extinguish and drag rakes to deal with debris. Thermal imaging camera used to check hot spots.
