At 15:49 on Tuesday, 20 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Railway Embankment in Bridgnorth.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

Approximately 100m x 50m of embankment involved in fire that has been extinguished by Fire Service Personnel.
