At 10:07 on Saturday, 31 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Wrexham.

1 fire appliance including the Landrover Pump was mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

40ft oak tree 50% involved in fire. Crews extinguished the fire using a hosereel jet with assistance from North Wales Llangollen crews.
