At 00:08 on Friday, 20 September, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Electricity Cable.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Bridgnorth.

Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.

This incident involved cables arcing causing them to fall which set a small area of river embankment alight. National Grid attended to isolate the electricity before crews extiguished the fire.
