At 13:31 on Saturday, 21 September, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Church Stretton.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Church Stretton and Craven Arms.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

One bonfire in a rear garden which has spread to affect 2 adjacent sheds, one timber playhouse, 1 pergola bench, 1 conifer tree and a length of wooden fencing, all of which have been destroyed by fire.
