At 18:19 on Monday, 23 September, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

Incident involved 1 dog which had fallen approx 8m into quarry. Crews used rope rescue to lower down and rescue the uninjured animal.
