At 16:50 on Saturday, 5 October, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Smoke In Area in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere.

This incident was found to be a false alarm with good intent due to chiminea in rear garden.
