At 17:15 on Wednesday, 9 October, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Thermal imaging camera

This incident was a small unattended bonfire that has been extinguished by Fire Service Personnel.
