At 11:44 on Monday, 11 November, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Bridgnorth.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

• Lifting & animal harnesses, straps

Also at the scene of the incident were: a vet.

One horse unable to get back up. Fire Service Animal Rescue Team liaised with on scene Vet and performed controlled lift of horse using rescue equipment. Horse now righted and walking freely.
