At 21:58 on Sunday, 1 December, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as AFA in Craven Arms.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Craven Arms.

Crews from Craven Arms and an appliance from over the border in Lentwardine were mobilised to a smoke detector activating. This was found to be a false alarm caused by steam.
