At 18:28 on Saturday, 7 December, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Electricity Cable in Telford.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Telford Central.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police and a utility company.

One tree fallen onto high voltage power cable which snapped and came to rest on road. Crews cordoned off road until Police and National Grid attended to make area safe.
