At 10:53 on Tuesday, 17 December, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Telford .

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Much Wenlock.

Reports of car brakes on fire. Crews investigated a petrol car with severely overheated brakes. No fire on arrival of crews. Thermal imaging camera has been used and temperature is coming down. Crews moving the vehicle to a safe position on carriageway.
