At 02:15 on Tuesday, 24 December, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Market Drayton.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Breathing Apparatus (BA)
  • Covering jet
  • Hosereel jet
  • Positive Pressure Ventilation
  • Thermal imaging camera

Domestic property fire in roof space. Crews wore breathing apparatus whilst using two hose reel jets and two covering jets to extinguish the fire. Crews emptied the loft and carried out salvage. A thermal imaging camera was also used to continue checking for hot spots.
