At 20:29 on Friday, 3 January, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Oswestry.

3 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Oswestry and Telford Central. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• 9/10.5m ladder
• Chimney rods

Chimney fire within flue. Aerial ladder platform utilised to extinguish fire.
