At 15:22 on Saturday, 4 January, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Chimney Fire in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

This incident was found to be a false alarm with good intent, crews are removing coal from fire as a precaution and have checked temperatures of Chimney with thermal imaging camera.
