At 10:46 on Sunday, 5 January, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews attended a washing machine that was smoking in the kitchen. The machine was isolated and removed from the property. Advice was given to the homeowner.
