At 16:36 on Friday, 10 January, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Main jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Thermal imaging camera

Approximately 15m square of wood chip smouldering. Crews extinguished fire and dampened down area.
