At 14:52 on Wednesday, 29 January, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as AFA in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident was a false alarm due to fumes from cooking which activated a communal smoke alarm. No action required by fire service personnel.
