At 10:12 on Sunday, 9 March, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Stoke Heath Youth Offenders Institution, Stoke Heath .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet and Market Drayton.

Small fire in cell extinguished by staff prior to arrival of fire service. Full inspection carried out by fire crew using 2 breathing apparatus, thermal imaging camera and internal hose reel.
