At 16:49 on Thursday, 20 March, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Knighton.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Clun and Tweedale.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters

Fire involving approximately 25 acres of gorse. Crews assisted by Mid & West Wales Fire Service.
