At 17:10 on Friday, 21 March, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Church Stretton.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Approximately 5 square metres of gorse alight, crews used one hose reel jet and drag rakes
