At 17:44 on Friday, 21 March, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

This was a controlled burn with three seats of fire extinguished using the fogging unit from the incident support unit. Advice given to have firefighting media available when having controlled burn.
