At 17:30 on Wednesday, 26 March, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Ellesmere .

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Fire involving 1 small hay bale in field. 1 hose reel jet and drag rakes in use.
