At 11:57 on Thursday, 3 April, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Ellesmere.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry.

This incident is a large bonfire which had become out of control and spread to fence panels. Crews extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets.
