Fire In Open

At 16:19 on Friday, 4 April, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Telford.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Telford Central.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving store pile of bark chippings measuring approx two meters squared in footpath. Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet and checked temperatures in area using a thermal imaging camera.
