At 17:35 on Wednesday, 9 April, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Bin Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.

This incident involved 1 wheelie bin involved in fire adjacent to the property causing damage to 1 gas meter.
