At 10:19 on Thursday, 22 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving 5 meters squared of conifer hedge in garden. This was an accidental fire due to neighbouring bonfire. Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet and drag rakes and proceeded to check for hot spots using a thermal imaging camera.
