At 13:39 on Friday, 6 June, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Ellesmere.
2 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Hosereel jet
This fire involved one electrical panel and cabling on wall. This fire was extinguished by crews using a hosereel jet and the surrounding straw was also dampened down.
