At 13:00 on Wednesday, 2 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Bishop Castle .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Bishops Castle and Clun.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Fire involving 20 x 40m of gorse hedge alight. All seats of fire extinguished using two hose reel jets.
