At 14:58 on Friday, 4 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Whitchurch.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Prees.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving cardboard waste which had spread to undergrowth measuring approx 10m x 5m. Fire extinguished prior to fire service arrival. Crews gave advice to occupier.
