At 15:27 on Monday, 7 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit and the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

2 calves rescued from river.
