At 17:31 on Saturday, 26 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

Fire in field involving grass and undergrowth measuring approximately 10 meters by 5 meters. Crews extinguished the fire using one extended hosereel jet and two beaters.
