At 08:14 on Thursday, 7 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Wem.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Prees and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

One saloon vehicle resting close to riverbank, vehicle has been made secure and one male occupant released from vehicle.
