At 21:28 on Friday, 8 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Fire involving patio gas heater. Gas cylinder isolated by fire service personnel. Extinguished using one hose reel jet.
