At 15:10 on Monday, 18 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Small gear

This incident was a bonfire in a residential garden which was out of control and had spread to surrounding areas. Crews extinguished using one hose reel jet and small gear.
